"My Very Own Name" is a perfect gift for newborns or young children learning to read and spell their names. In this 8 1/2" x 11" hard-cover, professionally bound book, animals come from afar to create the first and last names of the child. A jackal brings a J, an ostrich brings an O, a hippo brings an H, until the child's first and last names are spelled--whether the name is 'John Brown' or 'Francesca Miletti'. At the end, the animals celebrate because they have created the perfect name. The story is written in rhyme with entertaining animals throughout.

At the end of the story, there's an encyclopedia of 53 animals with illustrations and descriptions of each. As an added personal touch, the book includes the child's birthdate, and a printed message from the person giving the book: "With love from Mom and Dad," or "Happy birthday from Aunt Sue."
